Moist Sourdough Banana Bread

Recipe Description:

You may think sourdough does not go with banana bread, but I assure you, it does. This sourdough banana bread is so moist and tender and not “sour.” You will love the complexity of flavors that sourdough will lend to your banana bread.

    1. Oh, my goodness! This is delicious! I just made some this morning and we love it! I used an electric mixer, not a food processor, and after I got all the added ingredients mixed up, I just poured it on top of the sourdough soak and then beat it together. 50 minutes was perfect in the 350 oven. The only thing is, mine didn’t poof up on top. It stayed flat. Could that be because of the electric mixer? Anyway, thank you. It’s wonderful. And I can tell because my tummy is happy. When you get used to eating soaked grain things, eating unsoaked… I can feel it right away.

    2. I would say that it was either over mixed, which collapsed the bubbles in the starter. Or, your starter wasn’t at it’s peak performance that day. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it as much as we do 🙂
