Slow-Rise Whole Wheat Flax Seed Bread

Recipe Description:

The long, slow raising of this dough nicely eliminates anti-nutrients. The additon of ground flax seeds, brewer’s yeast and blackstrap molasses kicks up the nutritional punch. This is a lovely moist loaf, good for sandwiches, toast, and it stands alone very nicely! Start this dough in the morning. You will probably be baking it early evening.

    1. This looks delicious. Is brewer’s yeast the same as nutritional yeast? I have nutritional yeast flakes at home and have heard conflicting things as to whether they are one and the same.

      1. That is an interesting question. I just know that the yeast I buy is NOT fortified. It may be that brewer’s yeast is pure, and nutritional yeast is fortified?? But I cannot eat the fortified. The extra B vitamins make me feel un-well. So, for me, that is what I look for.
