Sweet and Sour Cabbage

Recipe Description:

A great side dish that goes well with any hearty meat dish. Use a mixture of red and green cabbage to brighten your plate.

Recipe Ingredients:

1/2 of a head of red cabbage, thinly sliced.

1/2 of a head of green cabbage, thinly sliced

2 T olive oil, or cultured butter

salt and pepper

2 T of raw apple cider vinegar

3 T of rapadura

1/4 c organic golden raisins

1 t caraway seeds

Recipe Instructions:

Heat a cast iron skillet with oil or butter. Add cabbage to pan until cabbages start to wilt. Salt and pepper to taste. Add vingar and rapadura to dress cabbage. Toss in raisins and caraway, serve immediately.

Pairs excellently with German Sauerbraten and potato dumplings.
