Recipe Description:
This recipe has all the great flavor of that famous Italian restaurant’s soup — but packs a power punch of taste and nutrition with wholesome and healthy ingredients. After making this recipe kosher and increasing the Whole-Food Goodness Factor, this is a one-pot-crowd-pleaser that will leave everyone asking for one ladle more.
(Hint: If you’re looking for a way to sneak kale from your garden to your family — THIS IS IT!)
Made this yesterday for lunch and it was amazing!! I didn’t have any turkey sausage, so I used some chicken tenders that I flavored with sage and fennel and chopped up. Plus, I substituted the cream with canned coconut milk. Even with those adjustments, this was a hit with the family. Will definitely be trying this again!
I have made this twice and I have got to say that this is one of the best soups we have ever had!
I would love to make a few batches and can or freeze for quick evening meals or lunches. Has anyone tried that with this recipe? I’m not sure how the cream would hold up to canning or freezing…
